Pray for our youth. Some are suddenly renouncing Jesus Christ after years of believing. May be coming from teaching in schools or social networking.

Lord, Thank you for sparing New York city from attack, And thank you for protecting us so many times when we are not even aware of it and the times when we forget the source of all Grace is in Christ Jesus.

Please pray for Ronnie Cole. He was having chest pains on his way home from church last night and drove himself to AMC. Someone found him unconscious in his car, struggling to breathe. They wanted to fly him to UVa, but couldn’t because of weather, so he was driven over. BP is very low and they fear organ damage. Ronnie has had a couple heart attacks already (he’s in his 50s), is diabetic, and generally not in good health. Please pray for a total healing.

An update on Ronnie Cole from his wife, Debbie:

Ronnie is doing so, so , so much better!! They have moved him out of the MICU to the regular care unit. They have taken him off of all the monitors and IV’s and they took the PIC line out yesterday. He has a new set of general medicine doctors caring for him now and they are surprised at the progress his has made in such a short period of time. One of them commented yesterday that usually things do not progress so quickly from the condition he was in last Wednesday night to having no support bags and tubes now. God has once again showed Himself mighty on Ronnie’s behalf. Thanks you all for your prayers….we know it has made all the difference.

The final report of what happened….it was not a heart attack and it was not a blood clot and it was not infection. They are calling the problem Flash Pulmonary Edema which is fluid in the lungs that presented quickly. And it cam from his heart being sluggish and not pumping hard enough at some point and allowing some fluid to back up into his lungs. Now what caused the heart to be sluggish they are not sure. He will have follow-ups with the cardiologists to explore that a little more. For now they are treating him with lasik medication to flush out the fluid he has retained ….some in the lungs and some in his limbs. So he is going to the bathroom a lot. We expect him to be released in a couple of days.

We have to make some changes here at the house before he comes home so he will not have to walk up and down stairs at all. He is not to over exert himself…. so no stairs for now. Arron and some of his friends will be moving some furniture today and we will organize some new space for him …..so we will be back and forth to C’ville today and hopefully have him home tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the prayers.

    Debbie
